On December 1, 2023 I was fortunate to be invited to the two night Celebrity Ascent preview sailing. Here is a review of my two nights on board!
One day one, I met up with my Celebrity reps and discussed some of Celebrity Cruises' business plan and their new promo which does not include tips in their "All included program" and replacing it with nothing. I know a lot of my guests have been disappointed as was I about this decision. I am doing everything I can to have that reinstated.
We met up in the new and improved Al Bacio coffee shop which is now HUGE! I really enjoy their coffee and there are now plenty of places to sit and relax in the coffee shop.
The EDGE class ships are really beautiful and stunning. They seem to improve something on each ship, the Ascent got a golf simulator/karaoke room that was my favorite place to hang out. That won't be free on week to week sailings, but if you gather a few people, it can be a great time and a good value. It allows for 15 people max.
There isn't much to go over on this ship, I'm going to post a few pictures below and just say; try the Ascent! The food will be awesome, the service is excellent and you'll have a lot of different options for fun and relaxing. Check out craft social, the solarium and of course the magic carpet!
The one thing I will mention is I still have mixed feelings about the infinite balcony. Sure, I love having more space. However, I don't like how they can lock your balcony up. I prefer the classic balcony, but those are only available on this ship with the aft facing rooms, the porthole forward balcony and of course, suites.
