On July 18th, the US CDC announced the end of the COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships.
We’re excited about this change as cruising has proven to be one of the safest environments anywhere.
We will continue to work closely with our partners around the world for continued safety of our guests and communities we visit, to better align with the travel and hospitality sector, and continue meeting destination regulations.
Beginning on North American sailings (excluding ships that visit Canada/Alaska) departing August 8th, 2022:
Testing
Testing will be required for unvaccinated guests over 2 years of age on all sailings.
For vaccinated guests, testing will be required on sailings that are six nights or longer.
We will keep our ongoing crew surveillance.
Vaccination:
We will maintain a high percentage of fully vaccinated guests onboard all our sailings, far above the general population.
Vaccination and testing requirements may vary by port of departure, ports of call, and age group. We are working through this with our destination partners and will contact booked guests and travel agents
All crew will continue to be fully vaccinated and boosted when eligible.
If a guest or travel partner asks for additional details or specifics, please advise:
All guests and travel agents with bookings on cruises on or after August 8th will be contacted directly via email with additional details within a week.
If a guest or travel partner asks whether unvaccinated guests can sail:
Starting August 8th, 2022, we’ll be transitioning so that we can welcome all guests onboard our ships. We will maintain a high percentage of fully vaccinated guests onboard all our sailings, far above the general population. Vaccination and testing requirements may vary by port of departure, ports of call, and age group. We are working through this with our destination partners.
As soon as we have more details, we will share them with booked guests or you can check our website.
We’ll continue to monitor and adjust guidance on vaccine and testing requirements as public health conditions evolve.
As of now, our ships will continue to sail highly vaccinated passenger cruises and continue to fully vaccinate and boost our crew as they become eligible.
Eight islands in 14 days on the beautiful Majestic Princess. We were impressed with the friendliness of the crew. Great and fun entertainment. I love game shows -mostly to watch-and they had the best venue for it in Princess Live. I want to do this fantastic itinerary again! St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Martinique, St. Lucia, Barbados, Trinidad, Aruba, Curaçao.
In March of 2024, I took a cruise aboard the Scarlet Lady, the first ship in the Virgin Voyages fleet, Here is my quick review of that cruise and ship!
